Carnforth Town Council invites residents and community groups to come together for an evening of celebration, community engagement, and recognition at the Annual Town Assembly to be held on Thursday 29th May at Carnforth Methodist Community Centre from 7:00pm.
It promises to be an inspiring event where we can reflect on our achievements, discuss future goals, and strengthen the bonds within our community.
In a slight change, we want to extend a warm invitation to local community groups to set up a stall at the event. Having a stall will allow your group to share information, gather support, and inspire community involvement. We encourage all groups to participate and make their presence known. It will be a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your achievements and initiatives and connect with residents interested in learning more about the incredible work you do. A highlight of the Annual Town Assembly this year will be the Community Awards, where we will take time to honour individuals and organisations/groups that have made a significant impact in our town in the last 12 months. Whether it’s through volunteer work, community service, or simply being a great neighbour, these awards recognise the efforts of those who go above and beyond for the betterment of our community.
We invite residents and groups to make nominations for Community Awards in four categories, namely:
Outstanding Community Champion;
Outstanding Volunteer;
Outstanding Young Person;
Outstanding Voluntary & Community Group.
If you know someone who exemplifies the spirit of our town and has made a difference in the lives of others, we want to hear from you!
Nominations can be submitted through completing our online form [here], or you can download a form here and send to Leah at: admin@carnforthtowncouncil.gov.uk. Deadline for submissions is: Friday 25 April 2025.
