We are looking for a Caretaker for our Carnforth Civic Hall to join our team. Details below:
Hours: 25 hours per week (including evenings and some weekends)
Salary: £15,600 p.a.
Carnforth Town Council serves to improve the quality of life of our community by representing our residents, delivering services to meet local needs and striving to improve the community’s well-being.
The Town Council is responsible for community assets including Carnforth Civic Hall, Crag Bank Village Hall and Carnforth (Highfield) Allotments and runs events throughout the year.

Purpose of the role: To ensure that the building and grounds are safe and to oversee the functionality and safety of functions and facilities in the building.
Main responsibilities:
• Building cleaning and maintenance
• Routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Maintain equipment and building provisions to comply with health and safety policies and procedures
• Setting up building for meetings and events
• Communication with hall users, suppliers and contractors
• Maintaining appropriate records relating to the building
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills relevant to the post.
