CARNFORTH 356

Carnforth Town Mayor, Councillor Jim Grisenthwaite and Chairman and Managing Director of Barnfield Construction, Tim Webber MBE cut the first sod on the site known as Carnforth 356 located at the A6070 and fronting Junction 35 of the M6. Inspiration for the name of the site was drawn from its location and also from the old Porsche model 356 a nod to the nearby neighbours to the site Porsche Centre South Lakes.
The Town Mayor and Town Clerk, Bob Bailey met representatives from Barnfield Contruction and Cadent Gas Company who are taking up one of five prime plots for businesses on the site.
The Town Mayor said ‘Carnforth Town Council is delighted that Barnfield’s are developing this prestige site and it has been a pleasure to meet representatives from both Barnfield’s and Cadent. We look forward to the site being completed which will create and safeguard jobs in the town’.
